    It has long been an ambition of mine to connect my determination to educate the world about professional audio to that same industry that has kept me off the streets for 30 years.  In setting up the Live Sound course at Deep Blue Sound in my home town of Plymouth, I have gone some way to achieving this, but for me the actuality of what goes on in the arenas, theatres and fields of the world can only ever be properly realized through first-hand experience.

  • Back on the road with Chris Rea

    It might be early days on the tour, but this marks my sixth tour with Chris, the first being back in the late 90’s.  I’ve been all over the place with him, and have been charged with the responsibility of representing his sound both live and on record.  The relationship is tight, and there is a level of understanding and trust that guarantees the kind of results his audiences have come to expect.  Stretching ahead is a tour schedule that if nothing else looks very cold, and in this day and age it’s a long one.  Every night the song that we all look forward to the most is Chris’s recent single – the appropriately titled and extremely rocking Come So Far, Still So Far To Go.  Life imitating art, I would proffer.
