RG Jones in the heart of the city

Formed in 1985, The ABI is the voice of the UK’s insurance, investment and long-term savings industry. It has over 300 members, which together account for around 90% of premiums in the UK domestic market.
RG Jones Installations Department were commissioned to update their boardroom situated at 51 Gresham Street within the City of London. The ABI organises a large number of conferences, seminars and other events for the insurance industry. It also publishes research reports and policy documents.
Sales and Installations Director Jon Berry explained “The existing system consisted of a collection of equipment that has been added to over the years. We wanted to find a way to offer the client an update to the system, whilst utilising the good quality products in already in place. So we connected the existing mixer automatic mixers to a new DSP, and designed the system so it can be operated very simply without risk of accidental changes to the settings. We then installed high quality compact loudspeakers in the boardroom with ceiling mounted loudspeakers to provide coverage in the lobby and office space.”
The creation of the ABI meant that all sectors of the insurance company market could now speak through a single organisation.
