A Question of Sport Goes Live with SpotOn
27th October 2010

Following a successful pilot, RG Jones are providing equipment and engineering services for A Question of Sport Tour which is currently touring around the UK and will end in Belfast on 17th November.
RG Jones engineer Owen Relfe is on site with Mark Edwards and Chris Ekers at FOH. Utilising our Synco network, which allows us draw on the engineering resources across the companies, Remco Verhoek has come over from Holland as system engineer to take over from Mark who will be joining Simon Honywill for The War of the Worlds Tour from 1st November.
Andrew explained “It is so reassuring to know that we can draw from a pool of engineers when we’re busy who work to exactly the same standards operating equipment that is configured the same”.
The show includes a combination of stings and visual effects running at a fast pace. For this we use the software package, SpotOn allowing our engineers the most flexible playback currently available. It was developed by people who work within broadcast sound and is currently in use with BSkyB, BBC, ITN, CBS, NBC and companies around the world. RG Jones recognised the value in SpotOn software when it first came onto the market a number of years ago, and has found it to be invaluable on live broadcast shows.
