It would appear that the RG's approach has won a few friends in festival land, with the announcement that Festival Republic, the principal festival promoter in the UK, has signed on the line for three major events in 2009. Following three highly successful years at Glastonbury on the Pyramid Stage, RG Jones' commitment to providing the highest quality systems and the best engineers available, aligned with an understanding of the importance of co-operation with the licensing regulations, has been recognised as the way forward for Reading and Leeds in August, and Latitude in July.
As well as the grungier side of the festival season now being serviced from SW19, RG's engineers (lead by Andrew Williamson) are swapping their wellies for dinner jackets and are now on site rigging the systems for Henley Festival of Music and the Arts, where people sip champagne overlooking the water whilst enjoying the Festival's sights and sounds - designer evening wear, banks of flowers, extraordinary sculptures, swirling lights and the sight of a hundred candle lit dinner parties taking place on the boats on the river.
RG's will also be providing systems for long standing clients IMG, whose open air picnic concerts season has been a central feature of the London summer for many years now.
