Remembering Paul Strank MBE

It is with great sadness that RG Jones acknowledges the sudden passing of Paul Strank MBE, a respected Wimbledon businessman, philanthropist and longstanding friend of the company.

Paul was widely known throughout Wimbledon and the surrounding community, not only for his successful roofing business but for his generosity and commitment to helping others.

Together with his wife Irene, Paul spent decades raising funds for charitable causes, supporting disadvantaged children, families facing hardship and organisations working to improve lives across South London and beyond. His contribution to charity and the Wimbledon community was recognised in 2013 when he was awarded an MBE. In 2016, the Paul Strank Charitable Trust was established, building on many years of fundraising and providing support to those most in need.

A lifelong supporter of AFC Wimbledon, Paul was also closely involved with the club, contributing through sponsorship and his wider support for its community. His association with the Dons reflected the loyalty and commitment to Wimbledon that characterised so much of his life.

As neighbouring businesses in Wimbledon, we had the pleasure of knowing Paul and Irene as clients.  Our relationship extended beyond business, and we greatly valued the friendship and connection we shared. Paul's contribution to his community was considerable, and his legacy will continue through the charitable work he championed and the many people and organisations he supported.

On behalf of everyone at RG Jones, we extend our sincere condolences to Irene, their family, friends and all those who knew Paul. He will be remembered with great affection and respect.
