One Studio. Three Top Spots. In December 1988, RG Jones hit the jack-pot:
- No.1 UK Single: Mistletoe & Wine by Cliff Richard
- No.1 Studio in the UK: Awarded by Studio Magazine & Gallup
- Engineer of the Year: The legendary Gerry Kitchingham
Behind the festive hit was meticulous work. Kitchingham used:
- SSL G-Series Console with full automation
- 3M 32-track with Dolby A NR
- Lexicon 224X for reverb and ambience
- Monitoring through JBL 4311s with Crown DC300s
Producers like Alan Tarney and Trevor Horn trusted the studio for its precision and delivery.
